An Instruction on Pure View and Conduct
by Śākyaśrībhadra

[SPV-1] །རྒྱ་གར་སྐད་དུ། བི་ཤུདྡྷ་དརྴ་ན་ཙརྱ་ཨུ་པ་དེ་ཤ་ནཱ་མ།
In the language of India: Viśuddhadarśanacarya upadeśa nāma
[SPV-2] བོད་སྐད་དུ། ལྟ་སྤྱོད་རྣམ་དག་གི་མན་ངག་ཅེས་བྱ་བ།
In the language of Tibet: lta spyod rnam dag gi man ngag
[SPV-3] བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཤཱཀྱ་སེང་གེ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།
Homage to the Lord Lion of the Śākyas!
[SPV-4] །རྨི་ལམ་ལྟ་བུར་ཕྱི་རོལ་མིན། །སྒྱུ་མ་ལྟ་བུར་བདེན་དོན་མེད། །ནམ་མཁའ་ལྟ་བུར་མཚན་ཉིད་བྲལ། །ཆོས་ཀུན་རང་བཞིན་འོད་ གསལ་བའོ།
As in a dream, the outer world is not,
As in an illusion, there's no true reality,
Like space, without characteristics,
All phenomena, by nature, are clear light.
[SPV-5] །འགྲོ་འོང་གནས་མེད་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས། །རྒྱ་ཆེན་སེམས་ཅན་དོན་ལ་མཁས། །ཚོགས་གཉིས་དབྱེར་མེད་ལམ་གྱི་མཆོག །སྟོང་ཉིད་སྙིང་རྗེའི་སྙིང་པོ་བསྒོམ།
Beyond going, coming or remaining, bodhicitta,
Expansive, skilled in benefitting beings,
The two accumulations indivisible – this is the best approach.
So meditate on emptiness with compassion as its essence.
[SPV-6] །ལྟ་སྤྱོད་རྣམ་དག་གི་མན་ངག་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་ཁ་ཆེའི་རིགས་ཀྱི་པཎྜི་ཏ་ཆེན་པོ་དཔལ་ཆོས་རྗེ་ཤཱཀྱ་ཤྲཱི་བྷ་དྲའི་ཞལ་སྔ་ནས་མཛད་པ་རྫོགས་སོ།།
This instruction on pure view and conduct spoken by the great paṇḍita of Kashmir, the Dharma Lord Śākyaśrībhadra is hereby complete.
[SPV-7] །།མཁས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྤྱན་སྔར་ལོ་ཙཱ་བ་བྱམས་པའི་དཔལ་གྱིས་ཁྲོ་ཕུ་བཟང་ལུང་དུ་བསྒྱུར་བའོ།། །།
This was translated in Trophu Zanglung, in the presence of the great scholar himself, by the lotsāwa Jampé Pal (byams pa'i dpal, 1173–1225).
