BG4I-23 Buddhagupta - The Four Immeasurables
།འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཆོས་བརྒྱད་པོ་རྙེད་པ་དང་མ་རྙེད་པ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་སྒྲས་བསྡུས་པ་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ། བདེ་བ་དང༌། སྡུག་བསྔལ་བ་དང༌། བསྟོད་པ་དང༌། སྨད་པ་དང༌། གྲགས་པ་དང༌། མ་གྲགས་པ་ལ་དགའ་བ་དང་མི་དགའ་་མེད་པར་བཏང་སྙོམས་སུ་གནས་པ་སྟེ། དེ་ལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཆོས་བརྒྱད་ནི་རྙེད་པ་དང་མ་རྙེད་པ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ལ་བྱ་སྟེ། ཆོས་བརྒྱད་པོ་དེ་དག་འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་གྲགས་ཤིང་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཆོས་བརྒྱད་དོ། The expression “eight worldly concerns, including gain and loss” also refers to happiness and suffering, praise and criticism, renown and obscurity. Being neither delighted nor upset by these situations, we should remain in equanimity. These eight worldly concerns are so called because they are well known to, and found among, the mundane. |
